mcp-server-git (PyPI [email protected]) — launch with uvx mcp-server-git over stdio. No credentials needed, operates on any local git repo.

12 tools: git_status, git_log, git_diff, git_diff_unstaged, git_diff_staged, git_show, git_commit, git_add, git_reset, git_create_branch, git_checkout, git_branch. Pass repo_path as argument to target a repository.
